This ethos is always encouraged and was paramount in the thoughts of award winning designers Phil Shackleton and Mike Danford when they first conceived the idea of Mixd over a wholesome pint of Yorkshire ale.
Phil is a founding partner of Mixd, an experienced digital designer and is one of only a handful of people who can claim to have almost ‘made it’ as a professional squash player. A good all-rounder, his specialist skills are in user-centred design and website accessibility. Phil has over 9 years of industry experience and has worked with major clients including the Department for Work and Pensions, Yorkshire Forward, Bupa, Interflora, Martini (haven’t we all ‘worked with’ Martini at some point in our teenage lives?), National Express Group, Hilton Hotels, National Contracts Service and the Department for Education and Skills.
Mike is the other founding partner of Mixd and has a youthful look and exuberance that defy his advancing years. He leads the design team which is responsible for the look and feel of all design work, including its usability, graphical interface, and branding. Mike has worked for several design, marketing and creative agencies in the Yorkshire region, where he gained nearly 20 years experience working in various roles prior to establishing Mixd. Mike has designed, produced and developed a number of projects for the Department for Work and Pensions, the NHS, Yorkshire Forward and the Department for Education and Skills. Mike has extensive knowledge in all aspects of digital and print design, overseeing client briefs from initial concept through to final output of work.
