A passion for great design sits at the heart of everything we do at Mixd. It’s a belief that has found a home in the healthcare industry but is equally valid across all sectors. Good design means designing for everyone, and our commitment to accessibility has helped our clients across the NHS meet the highest standards.
Our growth means we are continuing to add to our talented team. We are currently looking for 10 new roles ranging from developers to account management and administration to meet demand. The team at Mixd have navigated through lockdowns and restrictions to deliver outstanding projects for organisations across the UK. We are working with University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest Trusts in the country and the NHS South West London Clinical Commissioning Group, to help them adopt the Integrated Care System, which is rolling out across the NHS. And we have been appointed by Alder Hey Children’s hospital to help them create a new website and intranet and a new education and events website is in production for the world-famous Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
A recent project for the South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust saw the team redesign and launch their public facing website and internal staff intranet. We have worked with South Tees for nearly 10 years now having built the first-ever NHS responsive website in 2012. We’ve also recently completed projects for Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. These are just a few of the websites we are proud to have developed in partnership with NHS Trusts across the country.
Everyone at Mixd works hard to stay on top of the healthcare sector’s stringent design and data requirements. We have recently secured ISO 27001, a national standard for data security procedures and ISO 9001, a quality management standard. We are actively involved in the wider accessibility community, running training and contributing to WCAG standards. Importantly, we have extensive experience in delivering accessibility audits for public sector services and have extensive experience implementing the NHS digital service manual and design patterns in our WordPress framework.
Significantly, our NHS Integrated Care System website platform meets AA conformance with WCAG 2.1, and we can provide a detailed Accessibility Audit as part of our pre-launch deliverables. It’s an approach that ensures compliance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Change is the only constant in the healthcare sector and everyone at Mixd is excited about helping clients meet the challenges over the coming months.
