Every year we host Work In The Web, a free 3 day workshop for students who want to work in the web industry. We cover skills and principles which are key to becoming a web professional, helping students get a head start in our ever changing industry.
Back in January, we had 20 students from across the country join us for 3 days of hands-on workshops, guest speakers and exciting social events. We covered a wide range of development skills and discussed in depth some of the best ways to start out a career in the web field.
We were humbled by the overwhelmingly positive response from our attendees. It motivated us to keep progressing the event further and continue giving back to the people who make this industry great.
Not long after WITW 2020 we were thrilled to welcome attendee Sam onto our team as a Graduate Developer and she has been making valuable contributions to some fantastic projects over the last few months.
The Coronavirus pandemic has meant a great deal of change for everybody this year and reluctantly we’ve had to make the hard decision of postponing Work In The Web 2021.
We know how much our workshops benefit from in person contact, providing the opportunity to communicate with our team members one-on-one. We don’t want attendees to lose out on this experience and we’re confident the magic of Work In The Web is best captured by attending the event in person.
Work In The Web will return in 2022 and will be back with a bang for our biggest and best event yet! We’ll have another brilliant line up of guest speakers and new workshops with our experienced team members.
If you’re interested in attending, you can register your interest for Work In The Web 2022. We’ll be in touch when we have more information about dates and the application process.
We’re so excited about the next event and can’t wait to meet a new group of enthusiastic students!
