e-learning tool provides support to the NHS

Following the launch of our COVID-19 communications platform for WordPress last week, we are delighted to have supported Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust in developing an e-learning platform for statutory and mandatory training in response to COVID-19.

Taking an existing online training platform that we had developed for training temporary staff, we worked with the Trust to further develop the tool to support statutory and mandatory training materials to aid the redeployment of staff across the Trust. The programmes include key materials to help the health and care workforce respond to COVID-19.

For our solution to work with the new requirements, we had to evolve the original platform to work with existing SCORM content – a specific method of constructing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training content so that they integrate with other SCORM conformant systems.

We partnered with Uncanny Owl, a Toronto based development agency who assisted by providing crucial technical support developing their great LearnDash Toolkit to support SCORM and xAPI content authored by the Trust. They went above and beyond to assist us with the guidance we required with some very testing deadlines, turning around their work in a matter of days.

We are delighted that this vital system is now live and being used across the Trust. In this time of crisis, it has ensured that staff have been able to deploy quickly to new roles helping to support our great NHS and help people in need.
